Peggy Burke Day

We held a special day for our retiring superintendent, Peggy Burke.  Families, faculty, and staff recognized and thanked Peggy for her years of service to the Whiteside School District.  Over her twenty-two years, our great District has grown and improved in so many aspects.  Peggy Burke was recognized from the Illinois State Board of Education for her fiscal leadership and her desire to make connections with our students.  Best wishes to you, Peggy  Burke!

We were given an incredible opportunity from the Belleville Art on the Square Committee.  Our students got to choose art pieces at the annual Art on the Square.  The artists were wonderful with our students!  Thank you to the Art on the Square Committee for our Art Bucks.  This was one of the best educational trips for our art students.

Belleville East High School Graduation Walk at Whiteside

The tradition continues!  We love it when our former students come back; especially when they come back in their high school graduation gowns.  The Belleville East graduates walked through our halls while the students, faculty, and staff cheered for them.  They stayed after the walk to talk to us about their future plans.  It was another great day at Whiteside Middle  School!

We had unified pairs participate in the Special Olympics Choose to Include Field Day.  It was one of the best events.  We choose to include at Whiteside Middle School!

 

Art on the Square

We got the unique opportunity to spend "Art Bucks" at the annual Art on the Square.  It was incredible taking a group of our students to this important community event.  The artists were wonderful to our students.  We live in a great community that supports our young people.

Concert Band

We have the best middle school band in the land!  Our Concert Band was the only band at the two day Six Flags Music Festival to receive a first superior. 

Choose to Include

We participated in the Unified Field Day with Special Olympics at Edwardsville High School.  Our unified pairs had a blast participating!
