Boy Basketball Regionals
Our Whiteside Middle School Boys Basketball Team will start regional play Tuesday, January 31st at Carriel Junior High School in O'Fallon. We will play Mascoutah at 7:15. Come on out to Carriel Junior High School to cheer on your Warriors!

Knocker Ball Tournament
Fun Friday is almost here! If you are looking for something to make you laugh, come to Whiteside Middle School this Friday night from 6-9 pm for our Knocker Ball Tournament for Backstoppers. Admission is $2.00 per person. Watch our local local law enforcement officials, first responders, Whiteside teachers and staff, and some of our students battle it out in a fun, hilarious tournament.

Congratulations to our 8th Grade Girls Basketball Team for a fantastic season! The team's season record was 14-7. The team won 4th place in the pre-season tournament, second place in the conference tournament, and third place in the Smithton Holiday Tournament.

Booster Club Meeting

Belleville East High School Orientation
Orientation for parents and 8th-grade students will be held at Belleville East High School to discuss general high school information and to answer questions you may have. The orientation will be held at the Performing Arts Center on Thursday, January 12th. Presentations start at 6 pm and 7:15 pm. Please attend one of the sessions.

Choose Kind
Our 6th graders recently finished reading Wonder by R.J. Palacio. At the end of the unit, the 6th graders started their own "Choose Kind" campaign. Students in Mrs. King's second hour class wrote positive messages and posted them on students' lockers. All students came out of second hour with a positive message on their locker. Choose Kind!

More Information about the 7th and 8th Grade Winter Dance
Students must have a second quarter grade point average of at least 2.0 in order to attend the dance. In addition, students must be in attendance on Friday, January 6th for a minimum of half the day.
