7th Grade Young Authors

Photographs from the GO and WOW Board Game Night

We had a fun filled evening playing games at the GO and WOW First Annual Board Game Night.  Thanks to Dr. Hasenstab for all her hard work in organizing this outstanding event.  The hit of the night was the Hungry, Hungry Hippo life sized game.

8th Grade Young Authors Winners

We have some outstanding writers at Whiteside Middle School!  Congratulations to our 8th grade winners.  We know they will be excellent writers as they move on to Belleville East High School.

8th Grade Graduation Photographs

8th grade graduation photographs will be taken on Tuesday, April 25th at 8:45.  Please remember to have your student bring his or her cap and gown for the photograph.  If you paid for your child's cap and gown, you may bring the $26.00 that morning and the student will receive his or her cap and gown.

Girls Group: Rummage Sale

The middle school girls group, "Those Girls" is sponsoring a rummage sale on Saturday, April 8th in the Middle School lobby from 8-10 am.  All items will be $1.00 and proceeds will benefit Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.

Thanks to Amanda Eversgerd for sponsoring one of our newest student organizations.  "Those Girls" continue to make a positive impact on our school environment.  Their service projects help our school advance our culture of respect and inclusion.

7th Grad PARCC Testing

Mrs. Crask's, Mrs. Mentzer's, Mrs. Phillips', and Mr. Poettgen's homeroom classes will have online PARCC testing from Thursday, April 6th through Monday, April 10th.  The 7th graders will take two tests a day in this time period.

7th and 8th Grade Spring Dance

The 7th and 8th Grade Spring Dance will be held on Friday, April 7th from 7-9 pm.  In order to attend the dance, students must meet behavioral and academic expectations.  Students must have at least a 2.0 grade point average.  If a student receives an office or ALC referral on Friday, April 7th, the student will not be allowed to attend the dance.

7th Grade PARCC Testing

7th grade students in Mrs. Bolding's homeroom class, Mrs. Brown's homeroom class, and Mr. Murakami's homeroom class will take their online PARCC tests on Monday, April 3rd through Wednesday, April 5th.  Students will take the math tests in the morning and the English Language Arts tests in the afternoon.
