Chestnut Life Skills Class

The life skills curriculum from Chestnut Health Services is an important part of our 7th grade curriculum.  Our 7th graders receive instruction on positive communication, healthy choices, and drug and alcohol abuse.  We are very grateful to be a part of this community program.  Thanks to Mr. Mike Luther for his dedication to our students on these important subjects.

D.A.R.E Program

We are very proud to have our 6th Graders enrolled in the D.A.R.E Program.  This important addition to our curriculum teaches students about positive communication, healthy choices, and peer pressure.  Thanks to the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department and Sergeant Fultz for their dedication to our 6th grade students.

School Lunch Celebration

We are always looking for a reason to celebrate!  It was a perfect day to celebrate National Pizza Day in our cafeteria.  It is certainly one of the most popular school lunch items.

Parent Meeting for Washington, DC Trip, 2019

We are already making plans for the Washington, DC trip that will take place in 2019.  Thanks to all the parents who showed up for our meeting last week.  It is not too late to sign up your child for this life changing trip.  The deadline to sign up is September 26th.  There is financial assistance available from World Strides.

#WhitesidePride: Office Personnel

Where would we be without these three?  They keep us organized and they run the most efficient office!  They are the first people you meet when you enter our school and they represent us well.  We are so grateful to have them at  Whiteside Middle School.  When you see them, than them for all they do for our school.

Algebra 1 Meeting

Thanks to all our families for attending the Algebra I meeting with Melissa Grindstaff and Belleville East Math Department Chair Rebecca Schrader.  It is important to involve our families in our instruction and curriculum.

Our para professionals are valuable to our students, faculty, and staff.  They work hard every day to meet the needs of our students.  We appreciate everything they do for us!

Student Council

We are so proud of our Whiteside Middle School Student Council.  The students ran great campaigns and delivered motivational speeches to their peers.  It provided all of us some relevant lessons in elections and democracies.
