8th Grade Student of the Month: A Leader
Our 8th Grade Student of the Month is always standing up for what is right. When two girls were teasing a 5th grader in the hall, she refused to be a bystander. She educated the students about empathy and their inappropriate behavior. She did not realize that Mrs. Penrod and I heard her in the hall.
She is also a member of the Jazz Band and she is known as the "Dancing Saxophone." We are very proud of Mariah and the positive impact she has on our school!
