Our holiday coffee shop was another smashing success!  Thanks to everyone who supports our Whiteside Coffee Shop.

Preparing for the Holiday Celebration

Our students, faculty, staff, and parent volunteers spent a lot of time getting our school ready for the jingle bell celebration.  We loved all the student made decorations!

G.O. Team Breakfast

Before we left for break, our G.O. Team prepared a delicious pancake breakfast for our students.  We also enjoyed time together making a craft and socializing with each other.

G.O. Team Food Drive

Our students are always doing service projects for our school and our greater community.  For the holidays, our G.O. Team had a food drive  and donated the food to our own Whiteside families.  Thanks to everyone who donated.

5th Grade Student of the Month: Renatta

Our 5th Grade Student of the Month is such a respectful student to have in class!  She always comes to school ready to learn.  Renatta is willing to help students with their academics, if needed.  Keep up the hard work, Renatta, and congratulations!

Vacancy: District Administrative Assistant

Whiteside School District #115 is currently searching for a District Administrative Assistant to fill a current vacancy.  This position will require the successful candidate to work directly with the Superintendent and will require assisting the middle school office daily.  Interested parties should send their resume to the Superintendent, Mark Heuring, via email at mark.heuring@wssd115.org .

I am posting more photos from Wreaths Across America that was held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Saturday, December 12.  We  attended the moving ceremony that was organized by the Gateway Gold Star Mothers.  We were honored to particpate in the wreath laying.  We remember our fallen U.S. Veterans, we honor those who serve, and we teach our children about the value of freedom.
