Read-A-Thon: Classroom

We started our 2019 Read-A-Thon in the 8th hour classrooms.  Everybody in the building was reading!  I enjoyed going around to all the classes and reading with the students.  Enjoy the photos from the beginning of the 2019 Read-A-Thon.

Boys Volleyball Team

We had a lot of fun watching the Boys Volleyball Team!  They are enthusiastic and always did an outstanding job representing our District.  They placed second at the Belle Fair Conference Tournament!

Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day: Manufacturing Engineering

We learned about manufacturing engineering at Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.  The students applied their knowledge by building structures that could withstand the weight of several marbles.  The students were given a fixed amount of "money" that they could use to buy supplies at the "store" for their construction.

Parental Support: Book Fair

Our book fair was a tremendous success due to the volunteer efforts of our families.  Thanks to our parents for organizing and supporting the book fair.  I would like to thank Kelly Suhl for chairing this important event for our District.

8th Grade Girls Volleyball

These student athletes were on fire!  They were undefeated in regular season play and we loved cheering them on at the games.  More importantly, they are a great group of student leaders who work hard in the classroom.  We are proud of them!

Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day: Mechanical Engineering

Our students made catapults at the Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day at SIUE.  The mechanical engineering section was very informative!
