They learned about the history of roller coasters, the different types, and the many things that affect roller coaster success. Finally, they used a variety of Internet resources to guide them as they designed their own roller coaster and tested it for success based on low cost, and meeting the given objectives.
Objectives:

- Conduct simple experiments to help in designing a low cost, safe but exciting roller coaster
- Learn the basic laws of physics that affect roller coaster success.
- Learn about the history of roller coasters.
- Design your own made from scratch open topped and sturdy roller coaster and test the safety of the design.
