D.A.R.E. Program

 We are so grateful that our 6th grade students are receiving instruction from Lt. Fultz with the D.A.R.E. program.  Thank you to the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department for supporting our students through this program.

7th Grade Student of the Month: Austin

 Austin has shown amazing perseverance and responsibility this school year.  He is always willing to work and demonstrates responsibility with his school work daily.  He enjoys a good joke, but stays on task consistently as well.  We appreciate all he is doing this school year.  Congratulations to Austin for being named our 7th  Grade Student of the Month.

8th Grade Student of the Month: Kaleb

 It is with great pleasure that we have chosen this 8th grader for our Student of the Month.  This student joins and participates in every single Google Meet, with his camera on every day.  He goes above and beyond on every project and presentation in all classes.  He shows kindness and a caring attitude for all of his classmates and respect for his teachers.  Congratulations to our 8th Grade  Student of the Month, Kaleb!

New Schedule: Jan. 25, 2021

 I am so excited that we are adding more time to our instructional day.  Our in-person and instructional learners will be dismissed at 2:00 pm when our new schedule starts on Jan. 25th.  This is the new schedule that all learners will follow:

I Have a Dream Speech

 On Thursday, Jan. 14,  our students got the opportunity to listen to excerpts from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s  I Have a Dream speech.  Thank you, Nasir, for reading these moving words to all of us.

The Gillen Family

 Thank you to the Gillen family for supporting the Whiteside School District.  Pictured left to right are Aidan Gillen, Dr. Gillen, and Sean Gillen.  Aidan and Sean are former Whiteside students and they are now juniors at Belleville East High School.  They are standing in the gazebo that Aidan built at Whiteside Middle School for his Eagle Scout Award.  We love our new gazebo!

Aidan Gillen and the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

 Former Whiteside student and Belleville East junior Aidan Gillen presented the gazebo he built at Whiteside Middle School for his Eagle Scout Award.  Pictured left to right are Superintendent Mark Heuring, Aidan Gillen, and Principal Monica Laurent.  We are so proud of Aidan Gillen!  Thank you, Aidan, for choosing to do your Eagle Scout project at Whiteside Middle School.

Aidan Gillen's Eagle Scout Project

 Former Whiteside student and Belleville East junior Aidan Gillen presented his gazebo project for his Eagle Scout Award.  It is a beautiful structure and we are so proud to have it on our school grounds.

8th Grade Student of the Month

 Our 8th Grade Student of the Month continues to impress her teachers every day.  During all Google Meets, she volunteers to answer questions and read aloud.  She consistently turns in all her assignments even though she does not need the points to maintain her amazing grades.  A great attitude makes Kayden a stand out. Congratulations to Kayden for being named our 8th Grade Student of the Month!
